Nimrah Saeed

Saeed’s work Textile Body Extensions is inspired by human body movements and the negative spaces that are created in the process. She aims to make each movement visible through crafted textile forms that move along with the movement of body while occupying the negative space. Using the tessellated pleating technique, she has developed, body sized mechanisms, which restrict the body in the process of making the invisible areas visible through exaggeration of action.
